Stoke for Life Supporting the Power of Adaptive Surfing

We’re proud to welcome Stoke for Life as a supporter of the 2026 BrightSky Australian Pro Adaptive Surfing Championships in Byron Bay.

Stoke for Life is dedicated to expanding access to the ocean and raising awareness about the life-changing benefits of adaptive water sports. Through surf clinics, paddle programs and community education, the organisation creates opportunities for people with disabilities to experience the freedom, confidence and connection that the ocean can provide.

Their work is built on a simple but powerful belief: the ocean should be accessible to everyone. By providing adaptive equipment, experienced water safety teams and supportive coaching, Stoke for Life helps individuals of all abilities safely enter the water and discover what is possible through adaptive surfing and paddling.

For many participants, these experiences are transformative — building confidence, independence and a renewed sense of possibility. Whether someone is stepping into the ocean for the first time or training to compete at an international level, Stoke for Life is committed to helping people rediscover the joy and empowerment that comes from being in the water.

Their mission aligns perfectly with the spirit of the BrightSky Australian Pro Adaptive Surfing Championships, where athletes from around the world come together to challenge limits, inspire communities and celebrate the incredible possibilities of adaptive sport.

With the support of organisations like Stoke for Life, the movement toward a more inclusive surf culture continues to grow — ensuring that the ocean remains a place of opportunity, connection and freedom for everyone.
