The countdown is officially on. Athlete registrations for the 2026 Adaptive Surfing Pro Championships open on 1 December, marking the beginning of another exciting year for one of Australia’s most inspiring and inclusive surf events.
Held in the heart of Byron Bay, the Championships bring together adaptive surfers from across Australia and around the world — from seasoned competitors to emerging athletes finding their feet on the international stage. Each year, the event showcases not only world-class talent, but the strength, community spirit and determination that define adaptive surfing.

The Adaptive Surfing Pro has grown to become a flagship event in the Australian adaptive sport calendar. Athletes travel to Byron Bay for the unique atmosphere, the high level of competition, and the camaraderie that sets this event apart. With multiple divisions and pathways for athletes of all abilities, the 2025 event promises another unforgettable showcase of adaptive surfing at its best.
Registration Opens 1 December
From 1 December, athletes will be able to secure their spot via the online registration portal (link to be added once live). As always, places are limited, and divisions often fill quickly. Competitors are encouraged to register early to avoid missing out.
