The story of Stone & Wood goes back to 2008, when three friends from the beer industry came together with a vision of building a brewery that did things a little differently. Inspired by the traditional village brewery model, they aimed to create a place where business was driven by a conscious commitment to the community and the environment – and they’ve stayed true to that mission since Day One.

In the early days, breweries were more than just places that served fresh beer; they were community hubs. They brought people together, supported local businesses, and played a role in making the town stronger. Stone & Wood has embraced this idea by crafting beer with purpose and supporting the people and environment that support them. Though they’ve expanded beyond their home in Byron Bay to meet the growing love for craft beer in Australia, their original vision remains unchanged. The passion that went into creating the much-loved Pacific Ale still drives their work today.
